Did You Say "Doors?"

The video teaser for hard half doors was quite a pleaser. Not sure if you noticed the 5 pallets of doors in the video - because that is all they have.  Enough for 5 vehicles. They might get 50 more next but that will be shared with new orders, rentals, and Evergreens.
I had also noticed some prototype doors installed on a couple FUVs parked outside the event. The first was a soft upper with vinyl film windows sewn into ballistic nylon attached above the hard half doors.  The nylon and vinyl are sewn together as a single piece and installed onto a track that runs under the roof. To get in and out of the vehicle, you have to zip and unzip the window in conjunction with opening and closing the door. To make this single piece fabric system more rigid, 3/16 ABS sheet was sewn in strategic places such as between the 2 windows. It is a clever idea, but not ready for production due to low FUV production and lack of fire proof nylon. It sounds as if a 3rd party developed this system they would be able to sell it, however.
Ballistic nylon and vinyl added to hard half doors
Another FUV I observed had a full set of zip in/out doors. These were mostly ballistic nylon with film upper windows sewn in. More 3/16 ABS sheet goods were sewn in: between the front and back window acting like a pillar, and along the bottom of the rear "door." I sat inside to see if visibility was affected and pleased to find it was excellent. The idea of running a zipper all the way around each time to get in and out might be off putting to some.
The whole side is one piece sewn together, slid into a channel along the top, with a couple pre-existing screws along the side and bottom.
A catch at the bottom of the rear door to ensure it stays in place.
Additional bottom sill to ensure flush fit of door.
Rear door folded forward for easy ingress.
Front door folded forward.
